Safety and Training
Our client’s and the public’s safety is a priority. Bourque relies heavily on the direction of our Occupational Health and Safety Committee. Our company is fully insured and abides by all Labour and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
All employees partake in on-going training and certification to insure skills meet or exceed expectation. We also provide training for Traffic Control Person and Temporary Workplace Signing, in addition to other safety and security programs through our office.
We are in good standing with the Nova Scotia Workers Compensation Board. Our membership also includes the Nova Scotia Construction Safety Association and the Nova Scotia Road Builders Association.
Our Hazard Assessment Policy states that prior to the start of any job BSSNS will perform a hazard assessment. There will be annual hazard assessments as well as random assessments. Upon assessment completion operations will correct any hazards and brief all employees that work on that site.
Employee evaluations are held semi-annually.
Our program is audited an annual basis.
